Walls should be smooth. The decals won’t adhere easily to textured surfaces such as rendered concrete or brick or unpainted (raw) timber.

If the wall is freshly painted, please allow a minimum of 30 days dry time before applying decals to the wall. This allows the paint to fully cure.

We recommend always ensuring paintwork is prepped and applied correctly - a base layer of quality primer and 2x coats of quality paint. If the painted surface is in decline (flaking or bubbling), decals may not stick properly or can damage the surface further upon removal.

We do not recommend applying the decals to a surface painted with a ‘wash and wear’ paint or paint containing Teflon. These products are great, however their purpose is to repel adhesive, so you will find the decals do not stick to the surface. If your surface is painted with a wash and wear paint or paint containing Teflon, you can apply a Viponds Self Adhesive Prep Coat prior to decal application.

We recommend you keep the backing of the decals & the cute tube they came in - this will help with safe storage and ensure you can reuse your decals over and over again.

If you’re moving house, switching things up or prepping for a change of season and need to take your decals down or move them, this is nice and easy!

To move, carefully life one corner of the decal and peel slowly away from the wall, reapplying them to the backing they came with as quickly as possible.

During this step it is important that the adhesive side does not come into contact with dust or dirt, so best to reapply to the backing in good time.
