Madeline White

Madeline White is an Australian Illustrator and artist living and working on Bundjalung Land, in Northern Rivers NSW.

Where it all begins

Imagination & play

Madeline’s work is rooted in her life-long interest in imagination & play. Collecting inspiration from both the natural world and the imagined — namely old films and picture books, Madeline uses traditional and digital mediums to depict her curious and playful motifs.

Favourite season? “Spring! Give me all the butterflies, blooms, birds and bugs!” Favourite sound? “My kids’ laughs! Joyous and contagious.” Favourite object? “Anything my 5 year old draws or paints becomes my new favourite thing.”

Who inspires you?

“All the closest people to me.”

“I’ve got a lot of creative people in my life. Also, drawing with my kids is one of my favourite practices to find inspiration for making art.”
