Julie Rambaud is a French and Brazilian illustrator and print designer living in Barcelona. She collaborates with fashion and decoration brands and publishing houses from all over the world. Her creations are inspired by childhood, the small details of everyday life, and the beauty of mistakes. 

She likes playing with paper cut shapes and gouache paintings to create expressive and playful illustrations.

Favourite childhood memory?

Playing and having fun with my younger sister in our backyard when we were kids and climbing the apple tree. I still remember the good feeling of climbing it.

Favourite season?

Summer for its bright colours.

Favourite sound?

I love to hear the song of the cicadas on warm summer evenings.

Favourite object?

The ceramics I have created.

Who inspires you?

What inspires me the most are the unexpected colour combinations I come across in my daily life.

Halcyon Nights is an inspiration for its playful and colourful patterns which are in harmony with my universe. Being part of it makes me proud!
